When you have a backyard party don’t you wish you could cover up your fence or blank wall with something spectacular??? This just might be the fix you are waiting for, an easy inexpensive way to cover that wall.
First take a drive down to the local dollar store and grab some hula hoops. (Please test out the hula hoop in the privacy of your home as your hula hooping skills may have faltered over the 20 years or so since you won that neighborhood hula hooping contest)
There are many ways you could cover these babies, but I’ll show you the way i did it, with extra yards of material.
first lay out the material on the ground and set the hula hoop on top of it. Gather in the edges and tie in a knot. tuck in any pieces that might be loose and pin if necessary to keep in place.
Turn it back over and pin on your photos. You can hang a frame with ribbon that i pined to the back of the dot, or just pin on the photo that has been embellished with coffee filter flowers or ribbons what ever your party calls for.
then add ribbon and lots of it, You all know that I’m not afraid to go a little bit over board with the ribbons. Just grab 5 or 6 coordinating ribbons and tie them together in a knot. add flowers and pin to the front of the dot.
To hang I just threaded some embroidery floss and pulled it through the top. I will use this to tie on it the 3M hooks that will be on the pillars. Such a cute way to cover the brick and make it sweet to look at.
Done!
I’ll post the final tea party photos the first week in June after the shower, so stay tuned.
