I know I know you have seen this before…. Well kinda… I took my cute center peices I used for the carnival and turned them into a cute centerpice for our 4th of July B-B-Q we are having next week. I’ll show you how easy this was…
I took these long cement tubes I bought at home depot for around 12.99 (don’t quote me I don’t quite remember) and with my electric hand saw or, electric knife would work as well, I marked them at 6in intervals and cut away… I know not perfectly straight and it was killing me that some were so jagged but I knew that the create paper would hide most of those inperfections.
next I spray painted them a base color and masked them off in stripes or poka-dots for the second color. easy!!! ok I cheated and had my kids do all the spray painting they loved to use spray paint. Don’t have a photo but just hot glued create paper around the edge on the outside and I was done. ( you will love what I’m doing with them for christmas)
I made three flags with a darling printable from pintrest and scraps of paper and ribbon and done. Flags are so easy and they take like no time with big impact.
hard to see I know I need photo classes but i just wanted you to see how the more mixed up and crazy the cuter they look!
a cute die cut from Lost and found!
then I stuffed the drum with tissue paper and a bottle to hold the flags and that’s it realy it couldn’t be simpler and to make a few of these for you party or reunnion would be a fun project with the kids…
Happy birthday America!!!
DARLING! I love them! Thanks for the idea~
