This little heart valentine was so easy to do and once you get started you will have more than you need!!!
first cut out your hearts, I did all sizes lots of smalls for Tays class and then some bigger ones to hang around the house.
Take the backing off of the chalkboard contact paper so that the sticky side is facing up on your work surface (mine was my office floor 🙂
Then place the hearts onto the contact paper and cut around the edges. that’s all i did for Tays class, i did however go a little big further for the ones around my house. I just wanted them to be a little bit 3 dimensional.
I added some book paper that I had fringed. I just hot glued it to the edge of the heart. Now when i fringe book paper i like it fluffy so I staple a stack together, which is the easy way out. Sewing would be best so you don’t have to see the staples. I knew I wanted to add ribbon around the edges so I didn’t care if I had the staples showing.
You can see that I added the rickrack on top of the fringed paper, again with the glue gun!
So one side is paper to match your house and the other is the chalkboard contact paper that you can write cute messages on to all your friends and family. I did trim one of the hearts out with tapestry tacks (the ones with no pin on them) and we are using it as our service heart.
Happy heat Day!
