I’m so in the mood to start fixing up my house again. I took Dec and Jan off because I just was so sick of painting I could have died!!!! But now the blue tape that is still stuck on the ceiling of my bed room is calling out to be finished. Here however is the start of my Laundry room make over.
This photo taken before we moved in. Can you see that there is only one and a haft tiles between the washer and the wall? My washer and dryer are front loading!! this wasn’t going to work.
The first thing i did was to take out the walk in closet from my office to make the laundry room a bit bigger.
I put down gorgeous tile and well that’s it. I so need storage in this little space, and we will get cupboards in there eventually, But for now I’m just using Brits old armoir. I painted it white (my favorite color) and added shelves inside.
I then ripped out the plastic inserts that were destroyed by my naughty children playing with their air soft guns inside!!! can you say grounded!!
I stapled gunned metal sheeting to the doors. It was surprisingly easy to cut with tin snips.
I thought I would like the look of being able to see through the metal but I did not!!! (too many cleaning things)
So I lined the doors with a gray bed skirt that I was never going to use.
I still need to get a little trim to go inside the doors on the front, but it will do for now, until i get my cabinets, counter, and sink.
