Fall wedding with lots of vintage style
I just had to show you this cute little wedding I did before Thanksgiving this year. this bride had her reciption at a sweet little historical house down town, kinda rustic and very charming. We were going with homespun simple and sweet. I come from pioneer stock so this little house in the middle of a bird Avery was a fun little find. Let me show you what I did.
The desert table was full of pies and whip creams. So yummy!! The best part of the dessert table (besides the yummies) were the cake stands. We made them out of #10 tin cans and dollar pizza plates. I distressed the tins so they would look like old zinc, then added a cute junk bow to add a bit of color. We also used lifts and levels with an old wheeled piano mover, and little stools.
there were 10 very deep windowsills to dress up. I just propped up their engagement and bridal photos with mason jars, logs, candles, and their initials, just a little bit of everything. It was so cute to have a pop of color up high. It was also a great advantage spot to show off their wedding photos.
this little find is amazing its the mother of the brides. It’s a tall woodedn door of some kind and the cross beams were perfect for cute decorations. I’m kinda in love with it. I propped it up by the cake with a cute chalkboard swiped from my dear friend Ash, who has great taste, and had an instant darling backdrop for the cake.
The table settings were so sweet we had three mason jars tied together sitting on top of a 12×12 wooden stand. I also used my cute wood boxes that my hubby made a few months back for some of the tables as well. I just had to make some little flags to stick into the flowers, just to add a bit of fun and whimsy.
The sign in table was so charming I used huge electrical spool (free tables) and they were perfect for the feel of the room. The cute jenga blocks were such a fun sign in idea, and it all fit perfectly on the little table.
The bunting was just the icing on the cake. I have such a talented friend who makes these fun little buntings They have everything you can imagine on them from poms to curlers lol don’t tell. I’ve only made two of these and let me tell you its not a picnic for a non sewer, but she seems to whip them out in a few hours and the impact is amazing. Collecting all the papers in the color of the party and then the little odds and ends to add texture and interest takes a few weeks. I’m sure there are lots of fun etsy sites you could buy these from to create a vintage old fashion feel.
tin cans with baby’s breath hanging from the rafters above the dance floor upstairs was so dreamy! Falling in love indeed! I just loved how the brides colors yellow and coral could come together and create a vintage farmhouse feel so cozy and festive at the same time.
