Ok I usually don’t get too personal on my business blog and instagrames but I can’t help my self with this one. It was my sons wedding and I might be a little presumptuous in saying they are the most handsome couple ever!!!
My new lovely daughter-in-law and son are very laid back, They both could have gone to the Newport temple with each set of parents and had a small wedding there and not cared about anything else. Just get it done and then get on the beach! That sounded fine to me. Ok maybe not I am a family get together kind of gal and I was a bit giddy to see my family and friends on this happy day. The beach had to wait for the honeymoon.
We started with a small brunch at our house before the ceremony. Then off to the wedding.

HEREAfter the ceremony we were taking photos outside and there was a bit of rain for about 10 min, then that it was gone. The rest of the day was beautiful cool and sunny the perfect day for a garden wedding. Isn’t rain on your wedding day good luck anyway?
Maggie wanted to be surrounded by lights. So in the neighbors yard where they had the reception, they spent the day wrapping trees with white lights. while the boys hung bistro lights under the pergola.
Maggie the bride used every lantern I owned (almost) and could borrow, to line the steps and to put on the white tables.
The 5 floral center pieces were amazing. They were done by a dear friend.
The photo table with all black frames, was simply elegant with my linen runners embossed with silver flowers. It truly put all the focus on the pictures.
Umm guys (the bride and groom) you forgot your energy drinks. This was not part of the display but a much needed boost to get through the rest of the day!
The food was a happy table with waffles, topping’s and fruit. To make it more fun they didn’t just have one cake, but hundreds of little cupcakes.
What a fun mix of traditional colors (black and white) with very non traditional cake, and customs of no book, no line, lets just get together and have a good time. And that is exactly what we did! Cant wait to see their lives unfold as they learn to grow and love each other even more. Welcome to the family Maggie we are so excited to have you!!
I loved watching you on Studio 5 today. I was captured by all the great ideas you shared. I can't wait to throw my next party with party platters and signs on my doors hopefully with a little help from you. Thanks again for all the ideas.
