Home trend #4 colletions In my case handtowels

Home trend #4 is collections,  what do you collect? Salt and pepper shakers, magnets, crystals.   Is it weird that I love to collect dish towels??  For some reason I’ve have been collecting these since I was in high school. I don’t know if it’s the pictures or the saying or the fact that some of them were my Granny’s? They speak to me and that is what you need have to be a collector of something.  Display your collection so that everyone can see what you love and who you are.

I love finding ways to display these little treasures.  This frame was made by my darling  hubby and hangs above my oven. (is that a fire hazard?) I had to frame this darling dishtowel cause I love this saying and I didn’t want to use it just yet! those cute girls from  latterdayhome have the cutest stuff I just love their pillows and tea towels. I love that you can make a statement with your cute dishtowels. They have birthday ones holiday towels and just because towels.  I love changing them out on the stove,  I love stacking them on my shelf and I have even used them to cover pillows!

The other fun thing about dish cloths is that I collect a few every time I travel. I love remembering my fun vacations when I use them. That little octopus is from New Port California from this cutest little boutique, see now I’m transported to beach……

I like collecting vintage towels from flea markets and eBay along with new cute fun ones from West Elm and Target.  Plus its a very inexpensive thing to collect.  So its a win win.  what do you collect?  and how do you display them?   Tag me on your photos @theglitzypear  I’d love to see what your up to.
