Three things you need to style your coffee table
I love my coffee table in my family room its huge!! its actually an old table from the GAP I purchased when they were going out of business. I had my hubby cut off the legs and now we use it to play games on,(hence the cards on the table) eat and well display pretty things. I love using old things with new. I loved the open ness of my table/coffee table but hello we do need places to store things. so I put two baskets under the front part of the table to store books magazines and dog toys if needed. if you have a table that is open use baskets, they look darling and can hide a ton of stuff. If you are lucky enough to have doors then put smaller baskets inside so that you can easily grab what you need.
The second thing you need is a good Tray! this is nonnegotiable, by having a tray it will keep all your pretty things contained or all your little things you need like coasters and remotes in one place. Its supper easy to find trays they are every where for just a few dollars they don’t need to break the bank.
the last thing you need is something that makes you smile. Now this can be flowers, books, and huge boat like I have on mine. Really you need something on your coffee table that brings you joy. Look around your house for things you have brought home from a trip. or something from your grandmother. you can even put your child’s art work framed in a frame for all to see. And if you do have kids use what they have to make your coffee table cute. Could be a fire truck or a stack of cute picture books. Thant way you wont have to be on guard every sec. Be creative but you have to love it. Even if other people think its crazy (like my boat) it will be a conversation starter, and hey they don’t live here you do.
