I love my cute little mountains that I made for my transitional winter decor. They are the cutest and easiest craft ever! I showed them off during my winter decor segment on Studio 5 and had a lot of comments of people wanting to know how to make them. Studio 5 also wanted to know how I made them and wanted to film a little segment that will be airing soon, IN MY CRAFT ROOM! Can I just say I’ve been renovating this room for over a year and had to do a couple of 8 hr days to get it ready!! There is nothing like having people over for me to do a complete cleaning of my house. Hummm maybe I should do this more often Ha Ha. Anyway back to these darling mountains and how to make them. This is what you will need
Just to top of the cuteness of these wooden mountains I added some little rice ligjts i found at target, for a few bucks. It takes the sting of taking down all my pretty Christmas lights. Who doesn’t need a little sparkle in the middle of winter. And that’s how easy it is to make your own little Swiss wood mountains. I think they look like they could be sold at a cute little Swedish boutique, don’t you think? And for just a few dollars you can make a whole mantel full of fun little wooden mountains yourself. I wonder if I could find some little skiers to stand by them? Stay warm and get cozy and enjoy this fun and easy craft.
What a coincidence! I was just checking your blog to see if you had posted this tutorial and here it was! Nice timing. 🙂 I was wondering if you could give us the base and height measurement of each triangle. Also, were you able to cut all of your triangles from the same sheet of wood? Did you use plywood or MDF? Are there five mountains on your mantel!
THANKS!
