I know I posted this last year but I wanted to post this again because i was getting out my darling shoes and they still look amazing! This has been one of my favorite DIY I’ve ever done so its worth a re-post! first you are going to want to mask off the main part of the shoe. Mine were satin shoes from Target online and they worked perfectly! put the tape around the shoe and the little grip at the bottom of the shoe and if you are a messy crafter the bottom of the shoe. LOL
Use a paint brush and cover the bottom of the heel with LOTS of Liquid Fusion glue! be as neat as you can so that the glue is only where you want it.
Sprinkle with glitter! I mixed a few kinds of glitter I found that the cut glitter was more sparkly but that the finer (not micro) Martha Stewart glitter got in all the cracks and missed spots. Since the glitter is only on the heels and is very subtle I wanted it to sparkle a lot! You might find that you have to fill in a few spots after they have dried and that’s OK just add a bit more glue and more glitter. remove the tape before the glue dries and leave shoes to dry overnight for this first step.
After you have the glitter on the heels of your shoes and they are dry. I brushed a light coat of Mod Podge over the glitter so that it wont flake off. This is a very important step as it seals all the layers together and gives you a durable shoe. See how easy this is with the right supplies you can turn any pair of shoes into a show stopping pair of glittery heeled party shoes! I’ve glittered many other things soap dishes banners but glitter shoes is my favorite glittered project to date! Now if you will excuse me I’m off to make appetizers and get out my party hats! Happy New Year 2018 my sweet friends!
