I can’t believe this but I’m going to be a grandma in 2018, yes yes I know I started out very young having babies and now my oldest baby is having their first baby. It got me thinking about what I want my Christmas gifts to mean to my grandbabies. They have to be extra special and meaningful, so after much thought and research, I’ve come up with a great list of special and unique gifts to give your precious baby this holiday season.
I’m in love with Babylit books, they take the timeless popularity of classic writers like Lewis Carroll, Charlotte Bronte, Jane Austen, and William Shakespeare, and with all the cuteness possible introduce your toddler to the world of classic literature. Here is Babylit’s, business motto, “At BabyLit, we believe in the power of reading. Why? Because books take us places. Good places. And when we read with a child, we go places together. It’s more than just reading. It’s learning. It’s experiencing. It’s growing. If a million copies of our books encourage just one parent to read with their child, we will have succeeded. And printed a lot of books.” Books are one of my favorite things to get new mamas, I love including them in all my shower gifts and Christmas presents because in this world of technology this is a perfect gift to give that will keep on giving to your baby with each cuddly, snuggle story time you have, and whats more enjoyable than that?
I just discovered this darling site BabyAspen while I was trying to get some custom Thanksgiving favors made from Kate Aspen for my Thanksgiving day dinner and stumbled upon their sister store for babies. Their baby line is so adorable and everything can be customized. wouldn’t any new mom love to have a snuggly personalized towel for their sweet baby? I love this idea because I’m always thinking of things that can become keepsakes and little blankets or towel’s with babies names on them would be at the top of the list. This little shark towel is the cutest thing, and who doesn’t want a fun towel to dry off with that not only cute but functional with a hood and their name embroidered on it. After the baby grows out of this stage you can pack it into their memory box for future little sharks to come.
One of the most important gifts you can give your sweet baby or grandchild is financial security. My dad started a 529 account when each of his grandchildren was born and has put money in each year for Christmas. We as parents have also put money in each year so that our kids can have a college education. It’s been such a blessing for me to know that some of my child’s education is paid for. If you need a good financial adviser Jeff Rippon with Ameriprise can help you get started. You can contact him at 801-601-9772. And to give the gift more cute factor give your grandchild the cutes bank ever. It will inspire the parents to save all their change and deposit it into their account a few times a year. I’m dying how cute this little elephant bank is from Baby Aspen What a perfect gift to give your child or grandbaby.
for me, the most enjoyable things I did as a mom was to cuddle my kids. I would always grab the softest blanket I could find and get all snuggly in the bed with my littles. It’s funny how each child gravitated to a different kind of snuggy! My oldest has a homemade blanket that was cut and made into little blankets by the time he was 5. My down syndrome child loved this woven blanket that turned all stringing and we were constantly cutting off extra strings. And my littlest had a crocheted number that I made. The thing that made them all the favorite was they were all so soft and cuddly. The blankets from Saranoni are so amazingly soft and cozy they are sure to be your child’s favorite blanket. If you are a grandma how fun to have a special blanket that stays at your house for extra cuddles when you are tending your littles! You won’t be sorry getting these amazing soft snuggly blankets from Saranoni! I think the thing that really made me fall in love with the company was this statement I found on their Website. “We believe we can make a difference in the world as we serve those around us. Doing this in our own family and with others is part of what we strive to do. We and others are lifted up when we reach out to help in small ways to make an impact for good.” I mean not only is their product well made and unique they do good for the world!!! and giving back is the best thing you can do at Christmas time, in my book.
This gift is unique and cute! I love the white noise devices and apps, but you can’t leave your phone in your babies room, so this cute little device would be perfect for your little one. I’ve read so much about sleep disorders because I use to have insomnia so bad. Sleep machines and white noise apps always seem to be one of the first things Doctors told me to try. When I started researching which one to buy I found a ton of white noise devices for little babies. It makes science that they would benefit from this too. And this cute little owl fits the bill nicely. There are lots of cute options on Amazon my go-to site for Christmas shopping!
When I saw this baby dish listed in Magnolia magazine I knew that I needed to get me one, and boy was I surprised to find that they had it listed on Amazon. Seriously, guys, Amazon is killing it in unique gifts this year. I love how natural and cute it is, I mean if you put the peas in his ears they won’t roll into the mush on the plate, the end of cross contamination. LOl, I can’t get enough of this brand I mean just look at the cute Robot plate and the matching utensils. this has got to be a favorite of lots of grandmas and moms out there.
Christmas is a time to be so grateful for what we have and to make sure the gifts we give are special and fit well into our families lives. There is too much junk and gifts that don’t mean much of anything out there. I know just get discarded soon after the holiday or they grow out of. I want to make sure that my gifts are well thought out, unique and heirloom quality, so that they all last the test of time and mean something to my little babies as they grow older. In this disposable age, it’s nice to have a special gift that will last a bit longer.
