I don’t know about you but I love wrapping beautiful gifts, especially Christmas gifts. The best part about a beautifully wrapped gift and is it’s almost as beautiful as your decorations, in fact, you could use it as your decorations during the holiday season. I found this company last year Clearbags.com they just might have the coolest clear boxes around. I was so excited to be asked to show you how to use these cool boxes on Studio 5 this week. And to make this even more amazing you can grab any box, bag, tube or a shoe box for a discount use the code GLITZY10 and you can get 10% off your order. So lets get to the clear box wrapping ideas shall we?
Here are a few ideas on how to wrap a clear box for Christmas. I’m sure you can think of some fun ideas as well so tag me on Instagram so that I can feature you in my stories if you try any of these ideas. My absolute favorite thing that clearbags.com have is their clear shoe boxes. They ship them flat and you just pop them together. The best part about it is you can reuse your gift wrapping box for your shoes after Christmas. I personally would use this cute box to organize ribbons, stuffed animals, small toys, several sets of flip-flops needing to be put away for the winter season…….. I could go on all day but I’m sure you want to get to the wrapping part.
When you are wrapping with clear shoe boxes then you have to get creative about disguising what’s inside. Tissue paper will be your best friend when wrapping odd shaped gifts or for hiding a smaller gift inside a bigger box. I wrapped the leggings I bought myself and a merry Christmas to me in the tissue they came in then in the color I wanted under the tree. I love that there is every color of tissue on the market. Chose any color that fits your decor. It is super easy to just wrap the gift in tissue then add extra tissue to the ends to fill up the box.
If you want something more special or you would like to use your wrapping paper, (or in my case a pattern I found and printed on an 11×17 printer paper)
cut the paper the size of the box going around the front and one side, then lay the paper on top of the box and fold at the corners.
Slip the paper inside and tape to secure it into place. you can still wrap your gift in tissue paper to hide the edges but the box will look extra cute lined with wrapping paper.
The other cute thing about the shoebox is the handle its the perfect place to tie the bow or to wire on some greenery. and its easy to carry to the party.
This nesting set of boxes is so fun. I knew just what I wanted to do for my neighbors using these cute nesting boxes. I filled each one with a different candy and then added a cute bow. I’m sorta embarrassed at how easy this was and how cute and charming this looked. Easy is the name of the game during the holidays so this is win-win. so even if you don’t want to wrap a clear box you don’t have to.
In the spirit of clear box wrapping, I had the idea that maybe I could cut out paper the size of the little boxes 2×2 inches, to disguise what was inside the same way I did with the shoe boxes. I used little pieces of tissue paper to hide little surprises like earrings, bracelets, and rings.
I also loved the idea of using it as an advent calendar for the last 12 days of Christmas. You could put little chocolates in each box and a note of something fun to do that day.
The last little box I fell in love with from Clearbags.com was this darling hexagonal tube. its used for cookies but gift cards are what I had in mind for them. I loved the shape and the possibilities of what could be inside. in the black one I didn’t even disguise the gloves just put a bow on top, but what the receiver doesn’t know is that inside the gloves is a darling necklace and a gift card to their favorite restaurant. How can these boxes not make you smile? They take the most simple gift and turn it into a beautiful wonder!
