Poster store
In my master bedroom I have four cute pictures of my children on one my side of my bed but I was needing something for my husband side of the bed! I got him the best surprise from the @posterstore for Christmas.
The @Posterstore is having a huge Black Friday sale use code PEAR55 from Nov 26-29 for 55% OFF!
I was lacking symmetry in my master bedroom and the poster store came to the rescue.
Here are three things to help you pull together a symmetrical look on your bedroom wall.
1. It’s easy!
Even the most design challenged can pull off a symmetrical look. The end goal is super easy to create. Simply balance one side of your bed with similar things on the other side.
Think matching night stand (nope I don’t have them) or matching lamps (nope mine are both different and contrasting metals). No wonder I feel unbalanced when I come into my room, but it’s not all about matchy matchy. It’s about balancing each side of the room.
2. Symmetry brings instant balance and Continuity to your bedroom!
Going with a symmetrical design quite literally brings visual harmony to the space. When your eyes see the same things on either side of your a bed, it makes visual sense immediately. I do the same thing when organizing a pantry. When your eyes have to work too hard to take in a room it creates Visual tension. I did the same thing with my office keeping 4 prints on each side, they are different sizes but the concept is the same. SEE HERE for the BEFORE (how to hang a gallery wall )Keeping it calm and balanced so you can relax is probably the vibe you want for a more restful room.
Symmetrical interiors are therefore viewed as more restful and peaceful than their asymmetrical counterparts.
What if your furniture doesn’t match like mine? Well here’s the thing Symmetry can be achieved by making sure the items on both sides of your focal piece (the bed) are about the same size. Even if the gallery walls are two different shapes or colors they are in the same place on both sides of the bed lending themselves to be symmetrical.
You can use more pillows on your bed to get a more symmetrical look! I know your hubby might be rolling his eyes but if you have three layers of pillows it brings a more cohesive look to the room. Side note: if it bring contention in the morning to place pillows then you might want to skip that suggestion.
So here is my problem. On one side of my room I had four large frames with teeny prints of my children and nothing on my husband side. I know the rules I just didn’t take the time to fix it! But the @posterstore made it super easy. They have every kind of themed poster you can imagine. I’ve used this shop before and they were top notch. In the end symmetry was an easy fix. I order four gorgeous prints for my hubby!! Even though they’re not the same size as my side they are the same in number and relative size, and the best part is I can change it up season by season. they are absolutely beautiful on my wall! Symmetry is worth the effort.
