Yes Yes Yes buy this darling spiderweb from Mypinkboxco if that’s the only thing you get. But if they are sold out I’ll show you a fun hack that is a bit smaller but just as cute.
In all three of these Halloween dollar store hacks are going to use the plastic bases that are under all the sparkly glitter of the spider web, witches hat, and little ghosts. and Yup they are just a dollar, (well our dollar store went up in price to 1.25)
Step 1
Take off all the glittery yarn, if you want to keep to reuse then more power to you. I had to cut most of this off the spider web because it was on pretty tight. The witches hat and ghost came off pretty good so that sparkly black yarn I did save.
Step 2
Spray paint gold. I used Rustolum gold its my favorite gold to use on craft projects. they were out of this at home depot so I bought mine on Amazon
Step 3
Add ribbon, I love to use around 5 different colors and textures to create a fun boho feel!
and there you go one project done two more to go. tried to zoom in on the spider web but my computer wont have it. insert large shy here!
Step 1
you know the drill take off that sparkly yarn and get ready for a total transformation.
Step 2
wrap the witches hat in brown craft paper, mine was stuffing from an amazon box, but i do have a roll in my craft room I could have used. I love All Wrapped Up paper because its a little thicker and less likely to rip. I just tried to wrap this hat like i would a present, gathering the edges and tucking them in the back making sure the front is smooth. Then tape to hold in place
I didn’t like the look of the paper wrapped brim so I cut it off and added yarn. it made a huge difference and I’m glad I went with a more boho look
Step 3
now to the best part. add ribbon, stickers, jewels what ever you can find in your craft box. I love these stickers from Close to my Heart ! I just pop dotted these on but you could glue them as well. Oh my gosh so easy right? Remember its your art, make it for you using colors you love and just play like you are in kindergarten!
all supplies were from my craft room so this cost me $1.25 for this dollar store Halloween hack.
Step 1
Do I even need to tell you what to do? Strip those ghost to their frame. BUT…. be sure to save the face to reattach it to your finish Halloween dollar store hack.
Step 2
Wrap your ghost like a mummy! the trick to this one is wrap the bottom part up to the arm, then continue to wrap the arms in a horizontal line paralleling the bottom part like you see in the blurry photo above.
After you have the arms done go back and wrap the arms in a vertical way to hid all the wholes and create definition in the arms.
Step 3
grab a contrasting yarn and create these cute lines at the bottom of your ghost if you are wanting a more colorful look. They kinda remind me of Day of the Dead. add your face and sticker banner if you want and you are ready to make a gaggle of ghost! so easy for a bunch of dollar store Halloween hacks. am I right?
