I love making Easter treats for a Sunday candy charcuterie board. So here’s a few I ideas I found on Pinterest and thought I’d try them out. and a few more Easter Ideas here too.
This is the cutest and easiest little treat. It can be made with melted white chocolate or frosting what ever you prefer. I love using this melted chocolate because the pretzels seem to be a bit more stable, and can handle the extra chocolate.
start by laying a layer of square pretzels on parchment paper, add a white chocolate button on top of each one. Then let them melt in a warm oven for a few minutes. Please don’t take your eyes off this step they melt quickly.
take out of the oven and begin to add the pastel M&M in a flower and let cool. So easy and fun to do with the kids.
This is a fun one but a bit more messy. unless you have an Oreo mold. I love Oreos and a few were consumed during this treat making session. I love doing these little cookies on a stick. These clear ones or regular popsicle sticks are so cute and I found them on Amazon, But this time I left them off because i was using them on a treat board.
First your going to to pry apart the cookies and re-glue them back together with a bit of melted white chocolate and the stick in the middle. Then put them in the fridge for a minute.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave and dip the cool cookies into the white chocolate. lay on parchment paper or stick them in foam to get a smooth surface on both sides. or you can skip the dip and just use the mold.
Add a cute little face with small sprinkles eyes, and pink M&M nose.
For the ears cut a large marshmallow in half and dip in sprinkles. glue them all on the bunnies with extra white chocolate or white frosting.
This treat is easiest when you make the popcorn with microwave popcorn. If you make your own it won’t have the salty sweet taste that I love. Melt the white chocolate until smooth and drizzle over the popcorn.
You have control over the chocolate popcorn ratio, but I used two bags of microwave popcorn and two cups of white buttons melts. then dump them all into a huge bowl and stir stir stir!
Add in cut up peeps, this is by far my favorite thing to add, it makes it sweet and fluffy, I promise you’ll love it . After you feel like the popcorn is all covered pour onto a parchment covered cookie sheet.
then use your pastel sprinkles and pastel candy (M&M) and mix it together, save a little extra for the top to make it pretty.
I’ve got more to come and I can’t wait to share them with you. You can find more treat ideas here!
