Anthropology bottlebrush star mini wreath DIY. I loved making these mini bottlebrush star wreaths with my extra bottlebrush trees. I think this is so cute mini but how charming would this be in a bigger size using * inch trees all in white. Your imagination is as good as mine. Lets get started.
I gather these mini ones up every time i see them. I had a whole bag that i was going to use to tie onto gifts but thought this mini bottlebrush star wreath would be way more fun to make. You can find some cute colorful mini ones HERE AMAZON or mini green ones HERE .
I used my heavy duty cutters they literally cut through the wire like butter. Cut the wire as close to the base as possible leaving some of the wire trunk helps to stabilize all the goodies you will be hot gluing to the middle. you can use 5 or 6 both numbers make a cute stars. (some of the trees i just pulled apart but not all of them did that)
this took me a minute to figure out the color combinations. After you get the look you want try to squish the bottlebrush trees together so that the branches hook to each other, this will make it more stable when you are hot glue-ing.
This is the most important step to making your star stable. I glued all around the trees and then glued each one separately to each other, this will create a strong base to add all the layers to the middle of the mini wreath.
This by far is the most fun part. collect all your broken ornaments mini do-das, jingle bells, flowers and lots of tinsel and get started piling it up. I started with a base of shredded paper and pink tinsel and glued it to the base. this created a bit of a bowl for all the other goodies. I then hot glued in flowers mini stars and jingle bells. Anything small and mini will work! layer layer layer, it will look so glam and interesting every person will be looking twice at your creation.
This is the most important step because your going to want to hang this beauty somewhere special. I tore a piece of cardboard to fit the back and used that as a base to hot glue this stunning velvet ribbon from Amazon to the back. I feel like the hanging ribbon needed to be as pretty as the bottlebrush star wreath was. But there you have it just some hot glue a little time and your extras bottlebrush trees and you have a fun anthro dupe decor for you home.
