How to make gold circus animals on a pick for cupcakes

there gold I know!!!! I’m going to show you how to make these gold circus animals from these puppies or should I say animals. They started out as regular plastic jungle animals I bought off of Amazon for 3.59$.

1.The first thing I did was to use my trusty Gold Krylon Spray paint to glam them all up. Two light coats was all it took to make these little guys sparkle.

2. Next I needed a hole to glue the skewer into. I looked on several DIY blogs, and there are a many ways to do this. The first one I tried was to heat a nail and melt it into the bottom of the animal. This worked but took for ever!!! Don’t do this if you need more than one. Ha Ha

3. I just got out my pliers and a rag and stuck the little guy in that tight grip and took my drill to him. It worked great and was fast and easy!!! just make sure you have a tinny bit and that you use your reverse button to get the drill back out.

4. perfect little hole for the extra long skewer that I wanted to use. I tied a small ribbon on each skewer before I attached them to the gold painted animals.

4. Dab just a bit of the hot glue onto the hole and stick the skewer into the hole. While the hot glue is still sticky slide the ribbon into place. That way it wont fall off or move around.

Yeah for cupcake picks!! I do love these little guys they were such a hit at the circus wedding shower.
