Who said crafting wasn’t dangerous? The day started out a little snowy making me a little on edge, and the fact that Bry was leaving to the last min one of my main decorations for the party. I started organizing and loading the envoy to make my first trip to Noah’s. My darling friend and husband came right over to help I so love the Roberson’s!!! off we went to start the decorating.
not an hour in I had a call from Bry saying he cut his finger really bad and he was on the way to the ER. uuummmmm panic! I didn’t know how bad it was till later, cut to the bone through a tendon 11 stitch’s and split…… I called in reinforcements Jeks and Beyers and begged them to bring my deer and door and trees.
They thought it was ridiculous to have so much stuff (not what they called it) for one company party. And we wonder why there are not more men in this biz. Yes I needed every bit of it, so bring it all.
I had a few more darling friends who loved me enough to give up a few precious hours on a Saturday in Dec for me. WOW I felt so loved. Thanks Kristi mich R. Ash and Lisa (and daughters) for helping me.
It was beautiful,l my winter wonder land. even with a few less trees not flocked and in buckets surrounded by burlap. the back drop not entirely up and a few birds that were left in Bry’s car that didn’t make it into the trees. I thought it looked great.
on each table was a darling cloche that had deer and trees underneath it. All but this one was sitting on a cut log that we cut with a chain saw weeks ago. and clear jars with beaded branches. we didn’t have all the snow (at the house) but it still looked great.
This was our photo booth. as you came in you would pop your head in the window for a photo, again they were suppose to be holding a darling banner i made that said merry merry again with the snow at the house.
this was the food table we are missing a few things on that second tier but they made it to the buffet in time.
a little side table L did with extra trees we had. If they look familiar they are the ones we used last year.
I had my singing students sing while the guest were coming in. I had 5 darling kids sing for about 45 min. It was fun to have live music.
The colors were chocolate and white gold silver with a touch of green and blue here and there.
I did some cute banner for behind the buffet. they said “Over the river and through the woods” and “All is calm all is bright”
K hung a ton of snowflakes it took hours. I wish i had double the amount but it worked and we kept it so low that you had to walk around some. It felt like it was snowing, and if fact it was snowing out side.
the wreaths were all natural and I used tons of pin cones and brown ornaments. They were oval and about 2 1/2 feet tall, nice and big.
and the frames in the window were darling but dang I didn’t get a photo because my husband came in just as it was starting in his huge bandage and needed me to help him for the rest of the evening seeing that he was the MC and all. Merry Christmas!
