rocking chair redo

 I looked and looked for the before photo of this rocking chair,  where is it????

 I found this gem at the good old DI and fell in love, its so perfect for me.  I’m short and this chair is low to the ground and fits me like I glove.  how ever when I found my little lovely it was orange stained wood with a pumpkin colored tweed seat cover  (which I loved) but it was so stained and dirty it grossed me out!!

So I spray painted it silver yup silver!  Its modern and shiny and fun and then made some gray little slip covers for the cushion.  I added a ruffle for fun  and attached with upholstery tacks. It looked cute for about two days then….. my little son spilt his red otter pop on the fabric,  yup  red RED!  and now its ruined,  so sigh I will have to redo it next spring, after we move into the new house, maybe it will be turquoise or coal next time you see this little beauty.

Until then I’ll through a pillow on it and let  my feet dangle a little 🙂
