This tray is one of my favorites!! Lucite and gold glass glitter what could be more amazing? This soap dish came from the Container Store . Who knew you could find such cool stuff to make over there? This is what you are going to need for this craft. Soap dish glass glitter, mod podge, yup that’s it.
1. start by spreading mod podge over the bottom of the dish and then sprinkled the glass glitter over every inch of the base.
Here is what it looks like from the top, but don’t worry the glue will dry clear and the glitter will sparkle from the top and the bottom!
2. After the glitter dries to the mod podge then you are going to want to fill the holes in. Just dab a little bit of mod podge over the areas that are light on glitter and give them another coat of sparkle.
3. After the fill of glitter is dry you will want to cover the entire bottom with the mod podge to seal the glitter onto the dish! I was going to glue a piece of felt to the bottom of the tray so that the glitter wouldn’t scratch my counters but I found that I loved looking at it up side down!! Who knew? So I kept it glitter side up and it is surly a conversation piece. It lives on my piano and my students all want to touch it LOL. Currently it holds two SD cards.
