This seems like an easy task, hanging a wreath on your gallery wall. I was going to use a 3M hook but I was too afraid my wreath was too heavy to hang directly on the glass of one of my pictures. I also have lots of photos on my gallery wall that don’t have glass covering the pictures, I know I know a bad idea but I’ve used a few vintage frames that didn’t have glass sooooooo. Finally, I found the best way to hang a wreath on your gallery wall. Guess what you don’t even need to take the picture off the wall.
First, you will need to measure your frame so that you can get the right length of ribbon to wrap around the frame. Double the size of the front of the frame then add 10 more inches to the ribbon. I like to use a thick ribbon 1 or 1 1/2 inches wide. This will keep the ribbon from sliding around and will give you a thick knot to tuck behind the frame so that it won’t slip.
Now how to hang the wreath. Once you have your piece of ribbon you can wrap it around your frame. As you can see in the top photo my picture was super large 30×40 to be exact I didn’t want to take it off the wall. I just dropped the ribbon behind the frame and looped it back around to the front and tied a tight knot at the top of the picture.
My wreath was a bit heavy because I was using two wreaths on top of each other. I added a bow to the top of my frame using a double knot so that it wouldn’t untie and used one of the loops of the bow to thread over one of the loose ends of the ribbon. I then tied another knot so that the wreath would stay firmly in place. I also tucked the big knot behind the frame so that it wouldn’t decide to slip later. The weight of the frame held the wreath in place nicely. How easy was that? Now, that’s the right way to hang a wreath on your gallery wall. I didn’t even have to take a single frame off my wall to accomplish my Halloween decorated gallery wall. If you want to see more of the projects I did
