How to make mini Halloween succulent pots knocked off from Target

I love love love Target and I love their dollar spot. However sometimes their dollar spot is more than a dollar just saying. I feel in love with these darling black succulents in this fun matt pot. They were 3$ and I wanted 10 of them,that would have been 30$ and I  just didn’t have extra cash to get that many, so I grabbed three and put them in the top of my cart. As I was walking around the store I kept looking at those little darlings and came up with a cute hack, I  made them for a dollar each!

Can you tell which one is from Target, and which one is the mini Halloween succulent pot knock off ?   If You guess the on the one on the right then you would be correct.  Yes they are perfection but the ones I made can be used for so much more than a little favor or place setting decor.  Let me show you how I knocked this off.

1. The first step is to paint the Halloween succulent pots I love using Rustoleum 2x cover because I can do fewer coats of spray paint and that saves me time and money.  It covers in almost one coat.  I was painting glass so I had to do two coats because I missed a few spots and I wanted every inch of glass covered. These mini glass containers were from my yoply yogurt, can you believe how cute they are?  I’ve used them for candle holders, candy jars and mini butter jars for thanksgiving you can see them on a few table setting HERE

After the glass is all dried and you have a few coats on the yogurt jar, start spraying the flowers, ferns, succulents, what ever greenery you have that might look cool sprayed black for Halloween.

These are the flowers with a coat of black if you want to use them for the pots make sure they are all black, this might take several coats because the spray paint tends to soak into the fabric of the plants.

2. Step is to add the gold paint around the lip of the mini Halloween succulent pot. I did it with my trusty sharpie paint pen. You could also do it with regular paint. It’s so easy to do I’d trust my boys to do it for me.

It might take a few coats and I liked to cover the inside and outside of the lip. Also if you want it too look smoother make sure you get all the glue off the yogurt container first .

Add your spray painted greenery and your done seriously you could tons of these in such a short time for a party or for a school class and have them filled with candy corns. I’ve done lots of easy crafts but these mini Halloween succulent pots look super cool and they were a huge bang for my buck.
